Holiday Illumination – Remembering Life with Light

4:00pm – 5:30pm

Over 1000 luminary bags are placed around the center mall area lining the main entrance into Knollwood Memorial Park. Families can personalize a luminary bag with a label provided by the cemetery with the name(s) of their loved one(s) buried at Knollwood.  These remain in place creating a landscape of light that is a tribute to loved ones and becomes the focal point of the event.

A variety of holiday music fills the mall area and refreshments will be served outdoors starting at 4:00 p.m.  This year, Knollwood is welcoming the Canton Food Pantry to be part of our annual community event.  Please bring canned goods or nonperishable items as we will have a collection during this event to help support the community of Canton this holiday season.  Christmas tree lighting at 5:00 pm.  Please contact the office to request labels:  781.828.7218

Please note:

• The building will be closed, outdoor facilities will be available.
• You may wish to bring a flashlight as the cemetery will be dark when returning to your vehicle.
• This event is outside, please dress accordingly.
• You can pick up your pre-made label at the information desk located near the building.  We can also provide blank labels for you to personalize on the day of the event.
• Cemetery staff does not affix labels to luminary bags.
• Event is rain or shine.
• Please keep safety in mind and do not move the luminaries.
